September 2013 Meetup: Favorite WordPress Plugins

We are planning the September meetup for Tuesday, September 10th, 7pm at the University of Scranton’s Weinberg Memorial Library, room 305.

Joe Casabona will talk about the top plugins that he uses and recommends for various tasks in WordPress.

Joe Casabona is a web developer, teacher, and author of the book Building WordPress Themes from Scratch. He’s from Middletown, NY, lives in Scranton, PA, and has been making websites since 2002. He was introduced to WordPress in 2004 and has been working with it ever since.

If you have any feature that you’d like to find a plugin for or a specific plugin that you’d like him to talk about, shoot us a message.

The library is near the intersection of Linden Street and Monroe Avenue.  It is #39 on the University of Scranton map (http://admissions.scranton.edu/visit/_documents/2012-2d-map.pdf).  Street parking is typically available on Linden Street, Monroe Avenue, and Madison Avenue.

And don’t forget – we’ll be live streaming via a Google Hangout.  If you plan to watch the stream live and participate in the chatroom, mention that in your RSVP.  On the evening of the event, keep an eye on this page for the streaming details.

On another note, Joe and Phil will be speaking about Wordpress Customization & Security at NEPA BlogCon (http://nepablogcon.com/) on October 5th.  Check it out!
