April 2015: Come Fly With Me: Jetpack and the WordPress.com Cloud

At this meetup, George Stephanis will help us take a look at the free Jetpack plugin for WordPress and how best to leverage it in various projects. We’ll look at some of the additional functionality Jetpack makes available and how it can help you grow and retain your audience, improve page load times, and simplify site administration – while also making it more secure and reliable.

George Stephanis is the Team Lead for the Jetpack Pit Crew at Automattic (the company behind WordPress.com). When not working on Jetpack, he spends his time contributing to Core, running the WordPress Lancaster Meetup Group and WordCamp Lancaster PA, and is a regular guest on the WP Watercooler podcast.

As always, everyone is welcome to bring their WordPress questions or problems for discussion with the group. We’ve had some great discussions and learned some cool tricks!

Coalwork is located at 544 Spruce Street in Scranton – across from the courthouse. More information about Coalwork is available at coalwork.com.

To cover Coalwork’s costs for hosting us, we will be asking for donations. If you are able to give – GREAT – but please don’t let it deter you from attending if you feel unable to do so.

And don’t forget – we’ll be live streaming via a Google Hangout (see below). If you plan to watch the stream live and participate in the chatroom, mention that in your RSVP.

RSVP at Meetup.com!

Live stream will be available here on April 1st
