Have you ever found that theme that was ALMOST perfect, but you needed to change some colors, add a feature, or remove the sidebar? Whatever you do, don’t edit that theme! This is where child themes come in – a safe way to make some changes to a theme, while retaining the ability to get updates to the original theme.
Phil Erb is an IT Systems Administrator and Developer for the University of Scranton. Involved in a variety of technologies, spanning systems management to web and collaboration platforms, his belief is that computers should improve people’s workflows, not hinder them.
